JEAN MONNET PROJECT ECSA-Cn
The ECSA-Cn Jean Monnet project “Building capacity for Canada’s European Studies community” aimed at enhancing the outreach and networking capacity of the ECSA-C. It also provided public visibility to the EU as a key economic and political partner of Canada. With the collaboration between ECSA-C and the Europe-Canada Network initiative (www.EUCAnet.org ) at the Centre for Global Studies at the University of Victoria, the project focused on key EU-related subjects, taking advantage of the changing political environment after the completion of the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and the Canada-European Union Strategic Partnership Agreement (SPA).
The ECSA-Cn project’s activities and services included for example the development of a ECSA-Cn Members Database (open service to ECSA-C members), the promotion of selected research groups (interviews; media alerts), fostering engagement of young academics (junior EU scholar interviews; policy memos) and the dissemination of ECSA-C member comments on COVID and the EU . For more see below our report.
This project was co-funded by the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Action of the European Union and the European Community Studies Association ECSA-C.
